We have been involved with the sport of mushing since 1994 when took our first Samoyed, Moqui on his first skijoring runs near Flagstaff, AZ.  We were both hooked.  Shortly after Bob entered his first race in Williams, AZ and took second place in the skijoring class.  When Jill entered the next race in Flagstaff, Bob had a hard time staying on the sidelines and so began our search to find another skijoring dog, that was Finnegan.

We both began running Samoyeds.  Bob soon transitioned to alaskan huskies and more recently Jill has moved over to racing purebred AKC Siberian Huskies.  Bob has consistently placed in the top three numerous events and won the Pacific Northwest Championships (PNC) in Skijoring in 2011.  Jill has worked extensively with her Samoyeds who have earned numerous working, conformation and companion titles.  Her Siberian Huskies are now earning points towards their Sled Dog Degrees through the Siberian Husky Club of America.

We moved to northern Idaho in 2000 and have been enjoying both training and racing in the region.  The area receives abundant snows and has hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails.  Both sprint and mid distance events are held throughout the region in Idaho and adjoining states and provinces.

Since the beginning we've travelled to events throughout the western US and even Canada including both sprint and mid distance events.  We have attended clinics put on by Jamie Nelson and Ann Stead, Rob and Cara Gregor and Karen Yeargain.  We've put on a number of skijoring, pull training and scooter training clinics here in Northern Idaho on behalf of the Inland Empire Sled Dog Association.

We both belong to the Inland Empire Sled Dog Association where Bob currently serves as Secretary and Jill as Newsletter Editor.  Jill belongs to the Samoyed Club of America, The Organization for the Working Samoyed, Coeur d'Alene Dog Fanciers, Mush with Pride and the International Sibieran Husky Club.
